Sargeque IV Raises Funds for "Zul's Kids"

Sargeque IV has been hailed as the best Sargeque yet.  The "Zul Rules the Kids" Foundation is now $341.26 closer to re-opening thanks to the gratuitious showing by Sargeque IV attendees.  Zul Nation hopes to re-launch his non-profit by the end of August.  "I'm humbled by the generosity, how many lives' will be touched with these donations," Zul was quoted on Saturday.

Now for the good stuff:
  • Christopher "Zul" Cool took home the title of "Grand Champion" for Sargeque IV for his beef brisket and barbeque sauce.
  • Rian Tilgner won the purple ribbon for his barbeque chicken thighs.  He also won the "chicken division."
  • David Plous was awarded honorable mention chicken wings for his "Believe the Hype" sauce.  Plous' wings, it should be noted, were the only meat plate that had no leftovers.
  • Matt Sargent took home the blue ribbon in the "pork division" for his smoked pork butt.
  • James Isom earned "Most Meat Disposed Of" for Sargeque IV.
  • Chad "Chipper" Cillessen won the "catfish division."  In addition, he also won the grand prize drawing, an autographed Bremerton West warm-up t-shirt (authentic).
  • Matt Kadel won best-dressed for his Royals shirt and KU hat.  What, did you think someone wearing KSU gear was going to win this award?  You do know who's house this was at, correct?
  • April Matney won "Best App (sponsored by Apple)" for her interpretation of Linda's Pinwheels recipe.
Sargeque IV organizers want to send out a special thank-you to all attendees this last Saturday.  Sargeque IV was officially the highest-attended Sargeque on record (Special thanks to Zach Greinke??).

Bremerton West finishes their season Tuesday, May 12, 7:30PM at The Matt.  The competition: Team RED.  At stake: fifth place in the league.  See you there.  Post-game season wrap party immediately following at The Other Place.  Go Westies!
