ESPN's Ed Werder (on leave from covering Dallas Cowboys OTAs) reported this morning on Mike and Mike that Bremerton West F David Plous was arrested last night following an altercation at a Westport-area Star Mart while trying to purchase 2 Bud Light lime 22 oz bottles, an assortment of taquitos, egg rolls and corn dogs, and a pouch of grape Big League Chew. Plous reportedly threw a taquito at the store manager when informed that location was no longer running the "any two roller grill items for $1.59 special."
He was quoted: "No man, not tonight. Not after the night I've had. I've been coming here after every Brem West game and the $1.59 deal has been in effect. I miss all my shots tonight, including one with a minute to go that would've cut it to two and you are telling me I have to pay full price?! Not to mention the rebound I played off my hands that deflected to TEAM RED that led to a 3 pointer."
Plous was referring to his frustrating night at Matt Dome, in which his poor play was a key factor in Bremerton's defeat to TEAM RED. Player/Coach Matt Sargent was quoted as saying, "He's been okay so far this year, but starting next week he's wearing Kyle Farnsworth's number, as Farnsworth was the only guy who had a worse day than Plous today."
Plous will be fined one game check and have his seat moved to the new DRI Duck fountain area at the K in 45 degree weather this Saturday night.
