Bremerton Week Three Notes

- Bremerton Press was able to reach F Chad Cillessen by phone over the holiday weekend.  He claims to have "bone chips" around his ankle after meeting with team doctors.  No "sargery" needed as of now, outlook is good.  He will be out 3-4 weeks, however....Chipper dully noted that, post-examination, his ankle felt "as listless as FDR's legs."  That's right, a polio blast on MLK day.  Take that, Hammers....

- G/F Christopher Francis Peter "Zul" Cool has been suspended indefinitely from Bremerton West for violating his contract.  Article Two, Section Seven clearly states "....said player to refrain from activities related to, and including, snow skiing...."  No word from Camp Zul if he plans to appeal the suspension....

- Recovering from a blowout loss is one thing.  Finding the range is another.  Everyone on the team, save Reid Rothchild, was given deliberate marching orders to work on their jump shots over the past week.  Coach Sargent, for his part, played in his usual Sunday game at St. Ann's.  Out of 7 games, he hit the game-winner 3 times.  One can only hope that his hot hand will follow him Tuesday to The Matt....

- Alex "Gallindo" Carr has yet to light it up after such a promising off-season regimen.  This Tuesday looks to be his "coming-out" party....

- After seeing G Nick "The Quick" Reddell show up to last week's tilt with a new game ball, Coach Sargent has frantically trying to respond with appropriate one-upmanship.  It has been rumored that Sargent has been on eBay looking at a new pair of Air Jordans....

- F David "LCF13" Plous's contract has been extended for the remainder of the 2009 season.  Plous looks to get ample PT, sliding into the spot vacated by Cillessen's ankle injury.  He also gives the Westies another interior passing threat to compliment newcomer Brad Hill....

- Look for Bremerton to showcase a new offense this week that Coach has dubbed "Secondary Break meets Flex Motion."  Oh boy, we'll have to wait and see on that one....

- See you all at The Matt, 6:30PM Tuesday evening, for the Westies latest victim....
