Coach Sargent got the call late in the afternoon on Monday - the Westies would get a "W" in their season finale. Those chicken-sh....well, you get the point. The opponent forfeited.
For answering his cell piece, Sargent earns this week's "Can you hear me now" award, honoring him as the team MVP for St. Patrick's week 2008. Perhaps more impressive, however, is the patchwork coaching job he performed this season, keeping a squad that lacked the depth and talent of other teams while juggling personnel through injuries, illness and suspensions to a team-best record in 3 seasons. For his part, Sargent was noticeably upbeat.
