In what might be the biggest news at BEI (pre-regional matchup) is the the announcement that there will be a 4th installment of the Jason Bourne / David Webb franchise of films. Now everyone has something to live for besides Westie hoops. Read all about it here.
By the by, tonight's 8:30 tip versus The Knicks should be a treat. Both teams are coming into the game ablaze. If you recall, Bremerton's last late start didn't go as well as planned, as they suffered (as per diem) a loss gift-wrapped by the 15 unanswered points they spotted their opponent in the first 6 minutes of the game. The active roster will include the same six from last week's resounding sub-state victory over HNTB (Deucers), poor babies. Maybe next year, they'll take their opening-round opponent a little more seriously.
TONIGHT'S KEYS: Joe Burke will start on the bench tonight, as Coach Sargent fears his round-trip to Des Moines, IA today may give him slight lag in warm-up time needed for the game. No word yet on whether or not he has put a cap on the minutes Burke will play....Rian Tilgner will be in uniform and start tonight, although it is uncertain how his leg will perform under the duress of a playoff game. Some reports had Tilgner suffering from shin splints this week....Coach Sargent is 2-0 lifetime in playoff games.
